I discovered something really great about the blog today. We have an extra special follower.

Tesha the fabulous. :] Don't worry, she is still a part of the roommate goings on. Just through this great little tidbit. So no worries, I will have to do a much better job keeping up with the happenings at E403.
Anyway, Mondays are not great, ever. But this one went particularly close to average, and I got a lot accomplished. I have a test tomorrow in Human Development and I have been studying for some time tonight. Me and Tori made it to the Fieldhouse, so that was great since we never really get there anymore. Also, clearly as noted above, we were visited by the great Tesha Balls tonight. They all went to Big-Mac Monday in honor, and that is great. I didn't go, because it was late and I was talking to Troy.
Focusing is becoming more and more difficult. I'm confident that it will only continue to get worse the closer we get to Thursday. We can make it.
I did something grand today however, I signed a contract on a house for next Fall! It's official, and I'm very excited. It sucks, because everything didn't work out with Parker. So that is a very dark cloud hanging over this, but I'm relieved that it's all over. It will be great. Hopefully....But that isn't really what I can focus on right now. I have to make it through to Thursday. :]
I'm excited to go to the next play "Diavolo" on Wednesday, it's a sport-dance group that should be great. They came to our class today, and they were fascinating. I wonder what their lives would be like. Always on the road, traveling to these bizarre cities, with people the only know through the company. How do you choose something like that, or does it in fact choose you? I wonder if I would be cut out for a life like that if the opportunity presented itself. That would mean I would have had to been a great dancer and put into high competition classes when I was younger, and since that did indeed not happen, I don't think I really have to worry about that.
I just decided as I'm watching Charmed with the girls I live with, that it is unfair to dress bridesmaids ugly.
I will do my best to not do this.
It's Tuesday. :]

Don't you love Sundays. Especially when you really don't want to go to Church, and it turns out to be very great. Love that.

That is what happened to me yesterday. I really didn't feel like doing anything, but I got out of bed and dragged myself to Church with Sierra. Sacrament was Testimony meeting, and it was really good. Almost everyone was crying, and it was weird, we kind of bonded as a ward together. But it was good. :] I'm very glad I went for that.
Sunday School was also just as good. We were having a marriage lesson, which I usually try to avoid. However, this one was very good. It was very interesting, and I really enjoyed it. Which again, is weird because I try to avoid things like that. Life changes.
All in all, Church was just good. After me and Sierra hung out for a while. We went to the Junction, which has been re-vamped (it still isn't super great however) and then watched Billy Madison together. It was splendid. The Academy Awards were on as well, and we had a grand old time watching them, and evaluating all of the dresses we saw. That is definitely my favorite part.
Me and Troy talked forever too. Skype is this really great invention.

My bad for not getting to the blog. But I have had quite the weekend. :] Okayy not really, but we can pretend. Friday was great. After going through the school thing, I came home and hung out with my roommate Sierra for a little while. It was great, and we were laughing so hard. My roommates are hilarious people folks. We took a little trip to the D.I to see what kinds of great things we could get for the Institute 90's dance later that night. Our FHE mom, Ashley joined us, and I'm confident she thought we were psycho. BUT we found some fabulous things. :] I got a lovely colored sweater, that I'm confident I will wear again, for no occasion. We bought a couple of hot neon jackets, and we were set. :] We looked dashing at the dance, and everyone thought so. We had a blast too, being our regular old selves. I danced a lovely interpretive number, and it captivated many. What can I say, I'm quite talented. HA. After dancing to our hearts' content, we traveled to McDonalds, and got our first SHAMROCK SHAKES of the season. Splendid. :]

Saturday was great too. Parker came up to visit for the day, and so we went to all the cool stores on Main street, like Books of Yesterday. It was great. :] She is my very best friend. We always have so much fun, and I love it. I can't wait for next semester! Speaking of that, drum role please, we found somewhere to live!! It's called Brentwood, building E (I am destined to live in "E" for the remainder of my life. I know it.) But it's very nice. There will be four girls living there, three of which will be me, Tori, and Parker. They are private rooms with private bathrooms, and fully furnished. I'm very excited. We are supposed to get everything finalized tomorrow, so I'm praying that it all works out!!

"You do not knock on the door of a God who doesn't know you."

That phrase has been stuck with me all day long. Institute was really really good today. We learned a lot about the Celestial Kingdom, and Bro. Maughan took us into a parable that isn't taught very often, if at all. It was really neat, and I enjoyed it very much. We talked a little bit about our Heavenly Mother, and how amazingly modest she is. I think sometimes we forget about her, because she isn't talked about very much. I was really glad today though, because thinking about her brought some new insight into my life, and I think it's going to be okay. It was extremely cool, and really spiritual. I felt very close to her, and was very grateful for that. Because I know that when my mom struggles, I have her. It was neat.

Other than Institute, today was actually very well below average. I woke up late for my plan-the-entire-future meeting, then once I got there, I realized I forgot my necessary documents, so I had to trek all the way back across Campus, twice. I was not happy. Classes went slow and dull, and then we went tanning. I just love tanning.
We watched Survivor, and the final Burn Notice.
April and I decided that so many funny things happen in our day to day goings on, that we need to be followed by a camera crew so that everyone can enjoy them as well. Because, I never put them in here, because they happen so often I would be writing forever, and no one else really is around to see them. So, I'm going to look into that.
We're almost to the weekend, and that's like the halfway mark. I can't wait for Spring Break. Hopefully Courtney will get to play in the tournament, because then that would be really grand. I'm hoping I'll be around to get to watch her games, because that is important to me. We'll see. I think I can miss some school for that. Validation.
Two tests tomorrow, and then I'm done. I can do this.
Nineties dance should be great. We will brush up on episodes of Full House, Saved by the Bell, and Fresh Prince so we are sure to be properly attired. :]

We'll just get this over with, quick and painless.

I am tired and not exactly in the greatest of moods tonight, so it will be fast.
My arms got to see the world today from outside of a jacket, because the weather in Logan was actually bearable. By bearable I mean it was like forty or so degrees. That's warm to us folks. But it was actually sunny as well, so I'm hopeful that this means Spring is coming, and going to stay. The large piles of snow on the ground just need to melt away. :]
Classes went well today, and I actually got a lot done on the educational front of my life. I'm getting slightly nervous about the classes, and the huge projects that I have coming up in a few of them. But I think it's going to be okay, and everything will go well. :] Let's just continue to hope....
I went to the Temple today. It was really nice, and I forgot how much I missed going, because we haven't been in a long time. We're going to try to go to Timpanogos over Spring Break, because we miss it there. The Logan one is lovely, it's just different.
Courtney made softball, and will be playing on the sophomore team, which is just great! I'm excited for her. Next weekend we're trekking down to St. George for a tournament, so that will be grand.
Also watched a small section of Chainsaw Massacre today. (It was on TV, so it was edited) and wow, that was scary. I had no idea my dear Matthew could be such a deranged psychopath. I guess people are meant to surprise you.
Had another lovely little conversation on Skype today, and it is weird. I can hear everything that goes on on the other side. And I feel like a total fool talking to my computer. It's a little bit harder because there are a lot more distractions. But Skype is still great.
I'm going to bed.

Mar 2 2010

I just got back from another one of those performances I had to pay a billion dollars for for my Creative Arts class. I never would have guessed that I would have been so fascinated by Irish Folk music. And that is not sarcastic. It was actually really cool. Being all inspired as I was by this new musical phenomenon, I want to share the thoughts I had while I was out on the town. I am fascinated by how captivating cities become once the sun goes to bed, and the sky is turned dark. Everything becomes much more magical. I parked my car in a much safer area of the parking lot tonight, and avoided any potentially threatening situations. I like walking down Main. Any Main really, not just Logan. I think the old buildings and falling apart signs are amazing. I can't wait for it to get warm, so that I can just walk up and down the city. :] I'm very much looking forward to that. That is the only reason why I would ever live near the beach. To visit the boardwalks. I love the idea of them. All of the different lights, and people. They are fascinating to me. I can't wait for summer. It cannot arrive fast enough. I want to go boating, and work, and be free. I'm so tired of having to write papers, take tests, and constantly miss being home.

But right now we're just focusing on 9 days. Because that is how long it is until Spring Break.
Today, I realized something. Me and April need to find a Flo poster for our apartment. Because we love Flo. (Flo is the woman in the progressive commercials in case you are unfortunate enough to not know.) I got distracted, and lost everything else I was going to say. Dang it.

Mar 1 2010

I love new month posts. It makes everything so much neater.

I told you I wouldn't get anything written this weekend. I'm sorry for that, but here is a quick update.
Friday was actually a pretty good day. I was in a really good mood, and all my classes went well. I got everything done, and packed up and headed home. Me and Troy were going to go to his brother's roommate's birthday party, but he got a headache so we just hung out at his house, which is always very nice. We didn't do very much, and I know everyone thinks we're so extremely boring, but really, when you only get to see each other on the weekends, doing nothing together is really all we want to do. It allows us to talk a lot, which is very grand. Friday was great. :]
Saturday. I spent the morning prom dress hunting with my two sisters. What an adventure. I guess I forgot just how exhausting it was, because wow. I was beat. I feel like we got a lot done, and she tried on a lot of different styles and colors. She just needs to pick one, and look at a couple of more places. It was weird shopping for her, because I feel like I just barely was doing that yesterday. It's crazy how fast time seems to be going lately. Courtney, being the gracious soul that she is, pointed out the fact that the next dress I'll be picking out, will be my wedding dress. Oh joy. Thanks for that. We will see. I may just end up the crazy cat lady. But even then, I think I will get myself a wedding dress, just for the soul reason of having one. :] My dad made us dinner that night, and went all out. (As I think about it now however, he didn't really cook anything. Other than the asparagus.) But it was still good. Random, we had chicken, asparagus, and he bought a shrimp cocktail. After eating with my family, I met up with Troy for a double date with one of his friends from SVU. We got to his friend's house, and Christian called me. He sounded panicked, and desperate in the text message before, so I answered. He needed me. Apparently the store was a madhouse all day, and they had run out of every sugar cookie and it was only seven o'clock. All of the bakers were out of town, minus Quinn who was on drugs from having her wisdom teeth pulled, so all he had was me. I hesitantly told Troy the dilemma, and we hurried to Smart Cookie. I felt so awful. We got to Hell and I started trying to get the sugars done as fast as I possibly could. They cooked for what seemed like ages, and when they were finally finished, we put them in the freezer to speed-cool so that I could frost like a crazy person. However, what happened? Oh yes, our freezer is a giant piece, and was busted. So it took them almost twenty minutes to cool down enough so that I could frost. I was shaking like crazy, and trying my hardest to hurry while Troy sat out in the front at the table. Every second I was there my guilt grew more and more. We were supposed to go to a foreign film at BYU that started at eight, and I didn't finish until like ten after. Luckily, Troy is great, and was really good about the whole thing, even though I felt like the worst date in the whole world, he just laughed. :] We made it to the movie only a half hour behind schedule (which really wasn't much, considering it was one of the longest movies I have ever seen.) But it was really good! It was definitely different. It was in French, with English subtitles. It was about this class, and this teacher. It was interesting, because there was no real plot. It was kind of a take-it-however-you-can-for-yourself movie. But I liked it. Foreign films are actually really cool. If you don't mind reading the whole thing.
Sunday I woke up and went to church with my dad and Courtney. My mom had been really sick all weekend, so I barely saw any of her, which is unfortunate. Hopefully she will start feeling better. Anyhow, so we went to church. It was pretty good. :] Troy slept in, again, and I know that is shocking but really, it happened. So he came late to our ward instead of going all the way back to Provo. Since my dad had to go to a Ward Conference, and his parents go to the other Sunday School class, the two of us were left in Gospel Doctrine alone. We sat next to each other, obviously, and well, you know that lovely little spotlight my Ward likes to shine down on me? It was definitely shining. Sam gets up before class starts, and is kind of talking to everyone, and just doing whatever. He then says "Now, there are some faces I don't think I know with us today." And looks right at me and Troy. Now, Sam knows who I am. His wife was in the YW with me, and he lives like four houses away. But he continues to have us introduce ourselves. I tell him who I am, and that I'm visiting from school, and Troy does the same. Of course Sam recognizes us, and then declares that he simply didn't recognize us together as a couple. If everyone in the class didn't already know, they do now. Apparently we were then talked about in every other meeting at church. We were quite the topic.
I finally made it to Sunday dinner at the Butterfield's this week too. It was really fun. :] It was just Troy and me, and his parents. We ate and then watched some T.V. and then we played Scrabble. :] It was so funny. Becky (Troy's mom) was making me laugh all night. She is great. :] I really enjoyed myself. I then went home, and slept. Yes, I didn't have to leave Sunday night. I decided to try the whole leaving Monday morning thing, so I arrived at school this morning. And I liked it a lot better. :] It was so much less stressful, and I got unpacked and everything really fast. It is a much better system than what I was doing before.
That was my weekend. Now, I'm just trying to survive until Spring Break.
I'm still breathing, so that's a good start.
